【Tokyo Midtown Store Gallery】49th Exhibit: Wagashi (Traditional Japanese Sweets) and Manga

From 26 January until 26 June 2024, Toraya will hold an exhibition on manga at Tokyo Midtown Store Gallery.

Manga are loved by people all over the world. Each region has its own unique manga culture, but what is distinctive to Japan is that it has a broad fan base of all ages and genders.

This latest exhibition introduces manga that feature wagashi. As well as wagashi-themed works, such as those set in wagashi stores, we have also selected works that we found intriguing and made us think, "I want to try that one!" as we were reading about the wagashi in them.

These are just a few of many wonderful examples, but why not rediscover the charm of wagashi through manga?
